A concept plan for a rail town of about 15,000 people at Swords, Co. Dublin, by Progress Ireland.
The model draws more detail as you zoom in. On a slow device it lowers the resolution while you move and sharpens again when you stop.
A concept test fit by Progress Ireland. It is not an official or approved plan. It tests how many homes, schools, parks and services current Irish planning rules allow on the Land Development Agency's site at Lissenhall, north of Swords (about 85 ha). The site line is traced from the LDA's published map; this is not an LDA plan. The Emmaus Retreat Centre and a house on Ennis Lane are inside that line but not part of the site, so they are shown as they are.
The MetroLink-type station at the centre is an assumption, not a committed project. The river parks cover the present-day OPW Flood Zones A and B; no building stands on them.
People and jobs are estimates from the model. Buildings, facades, colours and trees are illustrative.
